So after selling the MR2 I intended on getting something a little less thirsty and a little more practical.

Then I saw this.

And then....after a bit of a clean.

It's a 16v Turbo with an intercooler so I'm told these were 175 brake from the factory, if anyone knows any better I'm happy to be corrected.

It's my first car with a turbo, and it's damn addictive. The noise of it spooling up and the chatter when you back off, I love it.

Also those seats are so comfortable and I've no idea how I lived with a car with a roof through so many summers.

Plans are to tidy it up a bit, fair bit of cosmetic rust kicking about, and then look into uprating the turbo.

Cheers,
J.

....and this is it with my mates E30, definitely not needing a jump start after faffing about with the roof too much.

Sweet car, looks in good nic..

How does it handle on the twisty stuff, or is it a comfy cruiser.. Either way a good tanning car...

Even though I found it to be slightly flawed, I sort of miss mine. Great car to waft about in, but don't expect the chassis to hold up too well when you push it, especially under braking.

Fantastic summer car though. thumbup

It holds on reasonably well through the twisties but it is very wallowy, not had a chance to test it's abilities fully yet though.

Quite an adjustment coming from the MR2 but now I just live for turbo lag!

Lovely! Welcome to the burble...

Cherry red too lick If you're not going to use it as a long distance car may I suggest the JT exhaust for it?

That E30 looks pretty sweet, probs running like 100bhp or some shiz yo.

I've found JT exhausts on youtube, but where can they actually be bought from? I take it from what I've seen/heard that it's essentially a straight through 3" exhaust system...

Cheers guys!

That exhaust sounds amazing, might have to get on that.

I'm told that this version is the 175 brake version and that later ones were 185 brake.

Any idea what changed and could it be retrofitted?

Do you know the black box bout the size of a dvd box set attached to the inside of the wing? that's called you're apc and in the 185bhp cars it's red. I have a red one in mine...not sure how much difference it makes as it was fitted when I bought it and my other ones a non turbo but contact steve lewis from the uk saab forum and he'll either have one or tell you where to get one.

...or you could visit 900aero.com and tweak your APC so it does the same thing!
