Hi there thinking of buying an f430 black ,black , manual 11,000 miles coupe.

Its had 2 services in its life time

first reg :24/11/06

1st service 09/01/08 @ 2973 - Maranello egham serviced.

2nd Service 25/2/09 @ 7781 miles - " Italia Autosport " - http://italiaautosport.com/

3rd Service - 2010 @11k miles - Dick Lovett Swindon.

I am worried whether or not a Specialist workshop such as auto italia who have serviced it will of devalued the car due to it not being all main dealer services any more . is this true?

Not sure I'd be too worried about it to be honest, I'm sure main dealer stamps are preffered but I can't see you losing any money or expecting money off due to an indy performing one service. I bought a 56 plate 430 and looking at the history the first service was 6 months late, probably due to the fact it had only covered just over 1000 miles at that point. The history was complete though and the condition of the car was mint so the first service being a bit late didn't put me off.

John.

Bought my 56 plate 430 from a BMW dealer 6 months ago, also had a service missing, I got it inspected, sorted a price & the car has been spot on from day 1..

So I guess its all about getting the price right and taking into account the service history

I would not worry too much, its still a specialist and not your local Ford garage.

Also some of my low mileage cars in the past have gone 3-4 months over the due service date simply because they have not done any miles, it has never been a problem.

Doesnt it invalidate the warranty if its not serviced properly? Did the indy do a proper "large" service, which would have been required at that mileage?

Well use it as a haggling point for your own purchase, I doubt this will be much of an issue on resale, if anything a couple of K to the concerned buyer, so get that off your own purchase if you are that worried... smile
