I have a new oak floor and doing the stairs ,I need to buy some tread nosings.
Seen some at ideal home that Timberland use that plant directly on to the bullnose of the tread and the wood butts up to it.They only supply and fit and wont tell me the supplier.
Ive spent hours trying to find them.Loads of safety nosings and other stuff just not like these.

Any ideas?

I got one from B&Q recently, its chrome with a black strip across the top, some sort of anti slip material.
IIRC it was around £20

nosing look pretty awful on timber treads - any chance you can bullnose them and stain to match?

I have decided against gold coloured ally/brass as the ones I want would cost £40-50 per tread.

Probably going to either make my own nosings or buy some oak to plant on the front of the planed up tread.

Its untreated oak so I can do whatever I like as it will have to be oiled/waxed.
