Swapping out of Co Car help needed

Colleague wants out of co car scheme into personal leasing deal
Requirements are 4 / 5 doors, minimum 50 mpg combined to make it work financially
@ 15k year with cash to spend of £370 month , more toys the better
All suggestions gratefully received as he is driving me mental with his questions!!!

The only way to make this work if he wants a NEW car is to go for something like a VAG TDi or BMW 1.8 or 2.0d
i.e. exactly the same sort of car that he would probably get if he stayed in the company car scheme but with all the hassles of running it himself...
