Hi all,

Im looking into using this site to replace the engine in my car as the old one has died frown Ive had an email back to say they have one and have been given a quote for it to be delivered. It also comes with a 12 month warrenty.
Has anybody had any horror stories from this company or just advice in general?

Thanks in advance.

Breakers yards often use search agents that bang out an email to every registered breaker they have on their books. Along the lines of:

"We have a customer looking for a Ford Fiesta 1.4 zetech engine 1996. Do you have the parts for this customer? Contact us if you do."

Therefore, Finadanengine is likely to only be as good as the breakers supplying the parts.

That said, I used a similar service a few years ago and had no problems. It saved me a lot of time and money.

EDIT: except the thread linked above is completely contrary to what I just said.

My brother tried to use these bandits when his Audi A4 engine went pop, they messed him around pretty bad, promised to come 3 times and my brother sat on all day waiting for them. No apology no communication and when he called up to complain he got an earful of abuse and was threatened pretty bad to the point he thought of calling the police

wouldn't touch them with a bargepole, search the web we found a few others with pending court cased where things had gone horribly wrong and the engine didn't work after it was fitted

A quick search on companies house data suggests these people are comically untrustworthy and to be avoided at all costs. Looks like your typical 'amass ccjs, fold, start under a different name' crew
