Will need to sort insurance out on my 360 shortly. Problem is my present insurer (Hagerty) are reducing the annual mileage down to 3k from 4k a year and for me this is just not enough.
Any reccomendations or guidance would be good but I'm not sure if the classic policies are recognised by others with regard NCB's.

Cheers

Surely you tell them the mileage you need and they adjust the premium according to the risk?

No it's seen as excessive for a classic car mileage and 3k is the absoloute maximum and will not be extended.
Last year I insured for 5k, this year 4k next 3k.

Have mine with MWA on a similar policy, classic (997Turbo) ! confused

Limited to 3k per year, no no claims needed, no tracker, etc etc.

It's great, except for the mileage.

I'm currently looking for a new policy as the 3k is fast approaching after 4 months !

do you actually have to declare the mileage on your car when you take the policy? why not declare a higher mileage at the start of your policy?

What happens if you have an accident before you reach your stated mileage, in my experience give an insurer half an excuse!.
I did not give the mileage at the start of my insurance but a check back on the last MOT would put me firmly in turd street.I've never bent the rules on insurance I just think you may as well not bother if you do.

How is not telling the truth and taking a policy under false pretences, "giving the insurer half an excuse". Surely you're giving them the perfect excuse, as you're not upholding your side of the contract?

A lot of us are having the same issue, with Hagerty reducing the allowable mileage, to something silly. Fraud is not a clever option so not sure why it's being suggested, so you will need a new insurer. You will probably find you premium is going to increase 30%. MWA moved me on to Norwich Union high net worth insurance (or something similar named).
