Scamera Van in Chobham - Casualty Reduction Unit????

Just seen a scamera van in Chobham on Chertsey road - when did they start putting 'Casualty Reduction Unit' on them?

Well, the logic is that the more people who get banned through 'totting up' points then the less people able to drive... therefore less casualties.

yes - I thought 'revenue generation unit' would have been more appropriate as I was going to the barbers and asked how many accidents they'd had "none...."

I am praying that they only take photos from the back of the van. As soon as I clocked (weak joke but intended) the front of the van I went down to 29.9 and think I was well in time.....

They should do away with speed humps and any type of scamera and build chicanes near every accident black spot, works in F1, if you can take the chicane at speed you're probably aware enough to deal with any situation then (by implication) given a 007 permit to use the speed that you feel is appropriate in any given situation. If you can't handle the car and hit the chicane then it's just natural selection and if you're young too, this will wipe your insurance options out and you'll be back on your mountain bike. And if the chicane makes you slow down anyway then job done for 99% of the population.
