One of your finest British Pounds will currently buy you 1.45 US Dollars.

Not great for importers who have to pay in USD.

I'm sitting in the Netherlands earnign Euros.

Having spent the last month cursing the bubbles, I'm gald to see the situation heading the other way for a while.

But great for exports and foreign investment.

You can never have it both ways.

As somebody who exports regularly to the states, this is good news on a number of fronts, especialy as they tend to be easier to deal with than some of our natives biggrin

At least it can actually reflect the st state of our economy.

When it can't do that, you end up with the PIIGS problem, which is why our currency is fine and the Euro isn't.

We have the freedom to control our destiny, which is something we have to thank Brown for. If it had been down to Bliar, we would have been leading the Euro crisis.

Not good if you are importing but great for exporters
Ideal in my opinion for the situation we are in, we need as much investment into the UK as possible

We buy and sell in USD, so the value of the profits and company isn't great but the cashflow side of things remains fairly unaffected.
