In a determination to hit 200mph I have been to CarPlanetRacing of Warrington
and had one of their bespoke exhausts fitted and what a difference.
See the rolling road graph below.

That torque curve is fair nasty.

Can't wait to see you run at the next Vmax.
(Hopefully I'll have mine there this timesmile)

What have you got to do to it to get it ready?

Got to put the new engine in. Look at the aeros and build a custom gearbox to suit the new engine.
Will run it without the latter 2 though just to put some miles on.

731bhp?! That's crazy! If that don;t get you to 200 then theres something worng.... OR it's because you don;t pass the noise level requirements

You'd be surprised how much effort 200 issmile

Mark

Hope its enough, could do with a bigger cam to get that torque across to the right though.

What did you get before the mod? I'd assume close to 200 anyway? My mere 540 got me to 184 with a lot more weight than you and with a lot less aerodynamics! It's great to see any car break that 200 smile Hope it works!

192-197mph depending on the wind. Noise wise it is no louder than before although I could changed that as there would have been no bhp penalty.
Oh the SL weighs 2003 kilos so I think I am heaviest.

The maths say if he did between 192/197 with his previous Power 200mph would require 711/768 on the same gearing.

Thanks for that Rod.
About the exhaust, it is no noisier than before, CarPlanetRacing are real masters
and can make the exhaust as noisy or quite as you like with no difference in
power output.

Since the last event I had to take the M5 all the way to Supersprint in Italy and leave it there for a few weeks to get some extra power full system including headers all the way back sure makes a difference! I'm thrilled with the results beyond beleif! Can;t wait for the next event, almost 20% more power to play with now smile

Shhhh! It might have been a couple of more things wink Headers gave the biggest differnce though, 54crank bhp and 50lb/ft torque smile Final remap and dyno next week. I'm hoping for around 590! Damn the "bug" I can imagine a twin supercharger kit coming after the next event wink
