Ive noticed that my fuel pump is stuttering a bit when it primes so decided to do the wire mod today.

Been to local motor factors this morning and bought in-line fuse and 30A relay but the only wire they have in short lengths is 17A (2mm), is this suitable or should I try and source something heavier?

I plan on taking new 12v supply from feed to the starter motor and using the original fuel pump wiring to switch the relay, is this what others have done?

The Bosch pump pulls a max. of 14A according to their datasheet.

I have uprated fuel pump looms ready made - PM me if interested.

Id not use anything less than 25-30amp.... the point of this upgrade is to get rid of the marginal wiring and it could mean you need to upgrade again if you get the bigger pump.
