Wheel arche sizes on 993s

Ok, silly question perhaps but maybe someone has their 993 handbook open on the dimensions page out there?
Domster and I were questioning whether the 'turbo body' on the C4S and 993tt has actually got wider arches or just the different front bumper and side skirts. Sure they look wider overall but is this just a trick on the eye caused by the skirts, larger wheels, lower suspension etc? When you actually compare the metal-work rather than the overall package it doesn't look wider (certainly nothing like the 964/965 turbo difference).
