Further on from Diff ratio my present GKN diff is clunky when warm however smooth i drive, ratio is standard 3.33:1 I have been offered a rebuit diff 3.75:1 what do you reckon will this be too harsh for a SC500 Griff.
Also SPENFD reckons GKN diff internals are superior to BTR can anybody expand on this
Next question clutch occassionally slips suspect oil seal leak at crank end what Cluch plate is the best to fit and can anybody supply specs as presently in states and need to check US prices
cheers jim

I know it is splitting hairs, but I thought the GKN was 3.31:1 ?

No wonder we can go faster eh? hehe

Its basically the ATB Quaiffe internals fitted in the GKN, which a few have paid oodles to have fitted inside BTR's as an upgrade wink

Hope you didn;t take that the wrong way, I wouldn't advise such a short diff ratio in a road car.. The 3.331 GKN's are longer than the std BTRs (3.45 IIRC) have you seen any of the confused in newer cars wondering why the older ones go faster at v-max's & the like? Del's secret weapon I reckon hehe

I think you may struggle to get a clutch in the US.. probably only worthwhile if you are considering changing the flywheel pattern so you can have a super clutch?
