Trusted TVR (Tamora) expert to view cars?

The time is drawing close, I'm going to look at 2-3 Tamora's over the next week or so. Subject to first impressions being good, can you recommend someone (even the AA man) who could come with me on a second viewing to check if the car is a 'good un'?

Best off getting a professional in to check them over like Paul at X-Works although he will require payment rather than beer tokens

Micheal Caine (not the actor) he does indie TVR checks. He done my T350c and was very thorough. Hes X factory TVR and drives in Porsche Supercup and is very well known through the industry of motorsoprt and TVR comunity. He also a really nice guy. Google i think ,Micheal Caine Motorsport. I didnt use him for my Sag as i bought it from RG but he inspected my T350C for "Tobeee" to buy.

Im sure "Tobeee" wont mind you posting an email to him for his feedback!!

This is right up yr street. Micheal Caine takes PH out in new Tamora. I asuume he worked for the factory back then;

I went out in a Tam tonight and it reminded me instantly of the Chim I drove 8 years ago.

I have a quick question, whilst checking out the car and looking under the hood, there was a blank plug cable tied to the fuel rail with the words 'rear knock sensor' on it. That worried me as I'm sure any knock sensors should be plugged in to monitor det (and presumably retard timing if detected)....anyone any ideas?

no knock sensors!

As in the loom has the connectors but the engine doesn't - they are 'spare'.

I think he had a link with Castle TVR at Stansted , the guy i bought my car from said he demoed the car to him . I got the impression he knows his way round the car very well .
