Tony Adams - Azerbaijan
Discussion
I met Tony Adams on the Boulavard in Baku, Azerbaijan yesterday. He has recently taken over a manager of Gabala, a team from a city around 3hrs drive from Baku, up in the mountains.
He seemed a pleasant chap, took a few minutes to speak to us and commented on what a good life we had, sitting in the sunshine drinking beer.
He is in a for a bit of a shock though I think. This is the most pleasant time of year here, around 25deg and low humidity, by late june/july it will be in the high 40s and unpleasantly humid, then come oct it gets good for a while before the snow and ice which the Azerbaijanis are even more inept than the Brits at coping with, the roads don't get cleared and the road surface (never the best anyway) breaks up with potholes you could lose several children in.
Good luck to him anyway.

He was with Teddy Sheringham, they were having a breakfast at the halfway hut.
