Hi,

Driving home from Aberdeen on Saturday night (bowling not drink/driving) I noticed that at half a tank i was on the verge of making it to 200 miles!!! i was gobsmacked at how much miles i've gotten... Costs no more than £40 to fill up with Vpower...

My car is due for a service on Saturday, and when i get it back i'll fill it up and see how many miles i can stretch a full tank to (driving like a saint, but still on speedlimits)... I usually get roughly 280 miles per fillup...

I will be posting my score once completed, anyone else is more than welcome to play along!

Thats excellent MPG - I wish my zed could do that many miles to a tank.

Currently I am only getting 230 miles to £85 of V-Power. frownfrown

You have got to remember i'm driving a 120bhp/ton 1.5 jap box, which is nothing compared to you guys' 300bhp cars... Although my close gear box means that i'm sitting at 3.5k revs when at 70mph... frown

On the Stirling run at the start of May, i managed an average of 20.8 mpg over 220 miles. Still had a quarter tank left. I would have had better mpg if a load of p/headers hadn't ruined my Sunday afternoon drive in the countryside!!!

Knocking around 250 miles from a full tank so far, going to aim for 300 before filling up. It's somewhere around 40 mpg on the motorway anyway. Need to figure out properly what it gets around town!

£74 of shell's diesel got me 480 miles, was nearly 37mpg so not too bad considering.

managed 525 once and i really want to beat it, maybe my new tyres and transmission bearings will get me past it, smile

Try staying off the brakes - if you carry your speed through the corners, you'll use a lot less fuel. I got better than that out of a 997 Turbo on a hoon a couple of weekends ago.

In my experience even Gallardo's, 430's etc will give back 12-15 mpg on a Highland hoon.

I dare say you are enjoying your car though smile

My Scud vRS (diesel) is great on fuel - a 700 round trip to Tongue last year gave me 38mpg with 4 surfboards on the roof. Travel time to Thurso from Livingston via Dollar was 4:15. Commuting it'll give me an average of 45mpg, and 550 to the tank.

Shame I don't have a proper car any more.... cry

I mainly use my 350z for daily commuting which is mostly built up traffic, and a quick blast on the motorway and straight back off a mile later. So thats mainly why I get such poor MPG usually.

I've started cycling to work recently, and only use my zed for motorway driving, and the odd hoon at the weekend which has saved me a fair amount of pennies. smile

I've got 30 mpg on the motorway at 65mph with cruise control on though which is pretty good. smile

With very enthusiastic driving (or around the city) it goes down to about 8 mpg smile
