Can anyone please identify these wheels for me, they are currently fitted to a 1999 Toyota Celica VVTi, but I’m not sure whether they’re standard on that model?

They are 17 diameter and are fitted with 205 width tyres, so I’m guessing that makes them around 7” wide?

The centre caps are celica ones, and I’ve seen a receipt showing a new cap being bought from Toyota, so I suspect they’re made by Toyota? I couldn’t find any other makers marks on them.

Hi,

The wheels are part of the Dynamic pack option which was available from Toyota, the other parts of the pack are the rear spoiler and the front splitter. I think the wheels were also available from Toyota separately.

Excellent, thanks for the info.

Do you know where you can get a spare wheel, except for from Toyota at no doubt ridiculously inflated prices, or Ebay which is very hit and miss?

No problem.

I'm certain that if the option was ticked, then the spare should also be the same alloy wheel. Other than ebay and Toyota as you mentioned the only other places would be a Japanese car breakers or a Toyota forum. I think they're going to be hard to come by, because I don't think many cars were specced with that alloy. Another problem is that they tend to corrode as they have a chrome surface.

Thanks again (I assume you're the same person despite the different profile name?). smile

The spare is the same type of alloy, but one of the wheels has been slightly buckled in a pothole, so my friend (it's his car) wants to have five good wheels again.

Looks like it's trawling the owner's club forum and ebay for him!

Yeah it is the same person.

I think that's the only way to be able to get one, but you could also try some Toyota specialists such as Fensport, as they may know of some for sale.

Another route could be to claim off the council for the damage, don't know if it'll work, but could be worth a try.

Just to confirm yes, they are definitely optional extras over the other wheels they can come with!

They're TTE's if I remember rightly- Toyota's equivalent of Nismo.

Try www.celica-club.co.uk some of the owners may have spares, alternatively www.cheaptoyotaparts.co.uk or www.tcbparts.co.uk
