Hi guys
I'll be returning to the UK in a couple of months and will be looking for a daily runner for 6 months whilst I'm back. I have a budget of £2k max and was thinking of getting something a bit interesting.
Last time I was back for a similar period I bought a 2000 Accord for £1200, and whilst it wasn't perfect, it never let me down and I didn't need to spend anything on it (other than repairs after some pikey t
t tried to break in). I've thought about getting another but I'm also pondering something like this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1552275.htm
I've not owned an old German motor before and was hoping for an answer to the following:
Am I potentially opening myself up to a world of pain in maintenance etc?
I know it's impossible to say for sure and I will be doing my best to check the vitals before buying but I'm no mechanical expert.
Basically, should I just stick to a Honda or can something more "interesting" do the job without injuring my meager bank balance?
