I love my one year old 159, other than the lack of cup holders to save my interior form my eight year, it is fabulous machine.

But I need some help please. I have two separate, but possibly related, questions...

Firstly I need a better exhaust, sorry an exhaust that has a better sound? Anyone also not satisfied but found an answer?

Secondly I bought the "new" 159 knowing that the all wheel drive and big engine makes this a heavy car. Well on a 1,100km drive (Joberg to Port Elizabeth) I battled. Especially when compared to a BMW 330i. Is there any chip, etc out there that can improve the performance and top speed?

Have you had a chat with Autodelta?
http://www.autodelta.co.uk/

They can supercharge the 3.2 to 350bhp...

Try these guys.

I sourced my raggazon system from them. They also do supersprint exhausts aswell. Ragazzon gave my V6 the roar but not the loudness that some stainless steel exhausts give.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Guys.

So far so good Super charging seems a little heavy but looking at their website there are plenty of options.

And the exhaust is great. Shipping it will be expensive but probably worth it.

I bought a ragazzon exhaust off them and it took 3 weeks to deliver it as it had to be ordered from the factory. I'm not knocking the exhaust, even though it didn't have the tail pipe I wanted, as it's absolutely fab - no centre silencer and the rest free flowed. It's on the noisy side at low speeds, but you can't hear it on the motorway and the sound above 4000rpm is bliss. But the service side was very very slow.

Alfaholics have their own version which they carry on the shelf and is about the same price. If I had to do it again, I'd use theirs every time.

Have had a Ragazzon syatem on my 156 V6 for over 4 years now. Great fit, great sound and its still in fantastic condition though I did replace the clamp at the back section with a high quality stainless band clamp. Bought from Gazzella, I recall it took a couple of weeks to deliver, but very happy all the same.

Very encouraging, it's sounding (excuse the pun!) great. Did you notice any increase in power? My second issue.

Sadly or stupidly I never had the car on the rollers before any mods.
Car was a standard late model (euro3) 2.5 V6. Since been fitted with a
GTA inlet trumpet to the air box, foam filter element and Ragazzon twin
box exhaust. Made approx 207bhp at the flywheel on shell V power fuel, much to
the roller operators suprise.

I think that's the kind of upgrade I'm looking at. Would love to supercharge but don't know enough about the implications to the suspension and brakes, and my wallet!

Rather go for the easy stuff that sounds nice and won't disturb the engine or any warranties.

Very useful, thanks
