Z4m losing clock time & trip info

Okay, this is a weird one, but got back from holiday on Sunday - turned the key, had an odd noise from behind te instrument cluster and only the abs light showing.

Then the rest of the lights came on, car started fine, though the rev counter took a second to come to life and all the time/date, trip info etc was all lost.

Though strangely not the radio stations.

I thought it might have been a battery issue for standing for so long, but it does it everytime, and I've done a fair few long journies - so I don't think it's that.

Any ideas?

I had similar problems which was the battery, might be worth getting it checked

Hmm, I had originally thought that, but dismissed it as it didn't lose radio stations or gps history.

Worth a look I suppose.
