Another Alfa 159
Discussion
Ok, so I want, ney NEED an Alfa 159.
I have one as a co car now, but I quit my job and I'm getting my own car this weekend.
Am I crazy to want one of these?

I've heard the sound is one of the best for a diesel (I live in Belgium and do some miles/km's, so no swaying me into petrol), but the economy isn't (sod it, if I do miles it means business is going well).
Please tell me to get one
, otherwise it will be the 1.9 110kw but I really really want to justify the 2.4 20v.

Not sure if your budget would stretch to a 2.0d? Nearly as powerful as the 2.4, weighs about the same as the 1.9d, so arguably the best of both worlds. Except the noise - the 4-cylinders aren't as clattery as some, but the 5-cylinders sound even better.

Linky fail.
As for the 159 2.4 - get it.
Oh, and get a Ti as well, they are just utterly gorgeous.
Ti not in my budget (yet), but these seem to be going for good prices (same as the 1.9 because of higher taxes!).As for the 159 2.4 - get it.

Thanks for the support!
I'm off this weekend, I calculated a 2.4 will cost me about 1100€ more on registration, tax+insurance is about 300€/year higher.
But I can get over both numbers
, just for that double exhaust, sound (so I've been told) and power.Do they really sound that good for a diesel? I've yet to hear them.

They do sound good Zes, especially when they are up and running.
Heavy though and like a drink.
Are they a lot heavier?Heavy though and like a drink.
Does it affect the handling much?
I've never looked into the exact figures.

The people saying this are generally not into cars, and most of them believe I'll kill double the polar bears with double the exhausts.
If I find a good one (they are rarer than the 110kw), I'll defo get one.
Thanks for the support of the heart-over-sense patrol of ph
