Good camping sites in Germany

Hi!

We're thinking of going camping in Germany, and were wondering if any of you could recommend some good sites over there ? (We prefer the "secure" camping sites rather than a random mountain!)

We've visited France several times and stayed at the Yelloh! Village sites which have always been pleasant, is there an equivalent in Germany?

Where in Germany are you thinking of? What about Austria? Can highly recommend here

I used this site quite a bit camping in Europe, sadly I can't remember which ones we visited in Germany I'm afraid.

I was thinking the "UK" side of Germany ie draw a line south of Berlin and go West

Cheers for the link, will have a look! Unfortunately Austria is a bit too far for us as generally we only go for a week away. Beautiful country though
