if you were in the market for an eco vehicle, would you buy a Prius, Nissan leaf, Honda thingy or this:

Based on A metro chassis, with GRP body. its built to special order only, and doesnt bother with niceties such as aircon, 3G wife connectivity, airbags etc etc

Ther price? Well, according to their website,
http://www.everything-ev.com/avt100e-high-performa...

the baseic version with lead-acid batteries are just £47,000 but the high-spec version with 100mph performance starts at £64,625

Dreamers.

Interesting to see you can simply 'Add to cart' and buy it though!

Based on a Metro?

How many Metro 'chassis' are available nowadays? Surely they've all rusted away by now?

Has anybody looked through their website? These people will even convert your lentilists favourite, the 2CV to electric power. However, if you want lithium batteries in your tin snail, it'll cost an extra 13 grand over the list price.

Madness.

For a cheap to run town car it isn't a stupid idea. Perhaps the price will drop to £4,700 once they sell a few million.
