I'm pretty sure that's a value for money service.

Breast modifications, they shouldn't be on.

I would rather they gave them subsidised or even free gym membership for as long as they're overweight. Better to encourage a healthy lifestyle than just limiting the amount of saturated, deep fried ste those walking dumpsters gobble down.

A waste of NHS resources - Yes
More self control needed - Yes
Should it be NHS funded - Yes

Simply reason being, that if a gastric band works, it could save the NHS thousands more in other obesity related issues, than it costs smile

Or simply section anybody needing one for two months and put them in a nice state run fat farm, on a very limited diet

no different to treating lung cancer in smokers....eat yourself to death/smoke yourself to death. Whats the difference? I find the stench of fags as vile as the sight of a bloater.

Very easy to label a fatty lazy but i'm sure many are as active as "non fats" - they just eat too much the same as others smoke/drink too much.

It's seen as the easy way for fat fks to lose weight. Instead of, you know, eating less and exercising more.

As far as I'm concerned, people should get FA from the NHS for delibrate self-inflicted disease. Drinkers, smokers, fat fks and junkies - go fk yourselves. We can do without you and I don't feel inclined for the amount of tax I pay to cover your medical care because you don't have any fking willpower or a ing backbone.

There as a woman, in her early 30's, who lived up the road and had her breasts enlarged not once, but twice courtesy of the NHS.

All she had to do was go to her GP and whinge that she was self conscious about her looks, etc, etc and they agreed.

What takes the utter piss though is that her parents are wealthy.

No one smokes to get cancer....my grandad smoke from 9 - 90 and had a heart attack, so it can be done. It's just a level of risk....who gets to pick what you can do based on risk? Football ok? Rock climbing? Rugby?

Some of the girls who work at one of our places are in a gym which has been subjected to an influx from this latest socialist wheeze and they're not very happy at all.

Imagine you live in a working class area and have paid some of you own hard earned and taxed to join a gym, then a bunch of fattys are given free passes and because they don't want to miss Jeremy Kyle, use said passes in the evenings after work. So now, before you can get onto the treadmill, you have to wait while some fat oaf waddles a 1/4 mile at 1mph and you have the blubbery heffers sweating copiously over all the other gym equipment. Still think it's a good idea?

I'd go join a different gym and be happy my tax £ are being put to good use for saving money in the future. The priciple that you only ever deal with symptoms has blighted this country for 13 years as new Labour tried to find the most publicity expediant solutions to all our problems. What we need is an attitude that says let's solve the problems and the symptoms will take care of themselves.

In this instance, if that meant the gyms were full of tax funded fatties losing weight and becoming healthier, then so be it.
