Hi All,

I'm heading down to the Nurburgring for my birthday next weekend and i was wondering if any of you that have been have any reccomendations of where to eat / drink / party whilst down there?

i've had a good lok on the websites related to nurbugring but they all seem to be selling the "sponsors" establishments, if anyone has some old favorites i'd appreciate the advice.

Thanks.. jp

I remember finding the bar in the novotel at the ring, I also remember my luck at finding out it was "the place to be" ( all the drivers and whot-nots had signed the walls and ceiling). I rememberer Erich Zakowski or I might have been his son (owner of zakspeed) buying everyone a round of shots shots, remember the white cotton gloves, I remember the first 7 shots.

Then it all went a bit fuzzy, I defiantly recall laughing a lot!

Ps there are 2 bars a good one and a boring one in the hotel.

There is no Novotel at the Nurburgring. Maybe you mean the Dorint?

Dorint is worth a trip, had the pleasure of staying there last year. There is parking underneath it. Is the rollercoaster finished?

Are you sure? It was novotel when I went.
It was the hotel on the new track anyway, you could stand on the roof and watch the track. They had cars on wires and stuck to the wall on every floor.

Never seen the rollercoaster running yet.

I second Pinocchios if you like pizzas the size of a dustbin lid.

The Comfy Corner in Adenau is a cool spot. I like the 'pepper on the hot stone' too.

You must have been drunk to
a). think you were in a Novotel
b). Think you were Erich Zakowski's son.

It's called Dorint Novotel. Big faceless building near the new loop. Better to have party in Tiergarten. Or whatever its called. Nice place. Also there are lots of small restaurants near the castle. ANd alot more within 10 miles of Nurburg.

Novotel used to have a share in it but it was always called the Dorint, and this was the name everybody knows/knew it by. They may have once issued a Novotel keycard/invoice which may have been where the confusion has arisen.

Yes. It was working last year when I went to the GP.
