Hello

I’m looking for help with a location for a few pics of my car,, I’m looking for a run down area,, derelict factories.. broken windows,, graffiti etc etc.

Anyone know of anything like this around the Wakefield area? preferably somewhere I wont get stabbed and my car nicked..

cheers

The old bakery where F1 karting is didn't used to be very pretty. Not sure if it's been tidied up much, and most of the industrial estate near Kirkgate Station, think it's Caldervale Way or something, was quite horrible some time ago.

I've found a gem of a location for photos. The old brickworks at Blackley, Elland. Just off J24 M62. Its got a vast array of broken buildings, chimneys, broken windows, burnt out cars, graffiti, plus in the background you have the Calder valley which is good backdrop by itself.
Taken loads of pics there last weekend - just photoshop'ing them for the dramtic look.
can drive your car inside the buildings if you wish.

PS - it should be reasonably safe. little bit of dealing and stolen cars etc
However I always take a little something not found on the manufacturers options list just in-case ;-)

That looks like a fantastic location. Pity my car would be filthy again by the time I got there. "Honestly officer, I came here to play a bit of cricket tongue out"

Any chance of uploading some of your pics from there on here, or a link to your flickr?

clean it and then take some wax spray (Megs do I good one) and a microfibre just to get any dust off your paintwork and alloys when you arrive.
