hi all, recently bought the below and couldn't be happier. Wrestled with the idea of a Nissan GTR just for the all-conquering aspect it offers but was worried about the potential lack of long-term interest. Then test drove the 355 at Dick Lovett and loved the fact there were less than 10k miles on the clock - was a really a wild card, that has paid off. Was the one car I dreamed of owning as a teenager biggrin

It has an F1 gear box and the calculator-style gear display is missing the middle LED. It's a really minor issue but the dealer reckoned it would cost £5k (dash-out etc) to sort out. Just wondered whether you guys had heard of similar issues and if there was a cheaper way to fix it!

Thanks

Welcome to the club smile

The F1 display can be fixed for a lot less than that as I understand it. Join up on Club Scuderia and search for a thread by 'notax' who semi-DIY'd his recently. Or Mark Collins might pop in here and explain it if you're lucky.

thanks again, guys. am London-based but had been down there before and had a good experience - like the fact they appreciate the classics and have a nice mix of inventory which it seems they source from repeat customers and enthusiasts. had a nice blast through the Cotswolds on the way back - after encountering, through Swindon, the longest run of speed bumps I have ever experienced!! laugh

Very nice Al!

We'll have to meet up soon and take some photos of your new P&J. Could possibly do it on the trip?

Cheers,

Dean

Disappointing that about them saying it was 3k to fix it. I have had similar experiences there, I use specialists only for servicing (Bob Houghton) - I just feel they are less likely to ramp me into work that doesn't really need doing. It is definitely worth taking the car to more than dealer for servicing and inpsections if you encounter issues. Hopefully they'll both give you the same prognosis!
I've seen your car in there. Looked lovely as well.

Thanks mate, that would be great! The convoy's looking good. We have 2 dogcams and 2 other high-tech HD recorders, plus with your wizardy we should get some great footage/shots!
