Why are the griff fans so noisy...it is the location of them...ie poor airflow suction?

That's interesting... there are some much higher airflows available there. I wonder if it's much hassle to fit a 'non-standard' fitment?

If you are any good with electrickery then it is possible to do a 2 speed conversion (series/parallel). Mine have been done and are whisper quiet on half speed. Rarely cut in to full speed unless very heavy traffic.

VW 3 pin otter switch is a direct fittment for the original and gives you the required 2 temperature stages.
