So the old girl (2004 range rover vogue) needed some tlc. Had developed a creak at the rear, a clunk at the front, pdc not working and due a service.

Booked into dealer locally, they had it two days and handed me a bill for 1600! Ouch.

Drove out of dealership and same clunk happened! Went back and took technician out who heard it again and has ordered some drop links for anti roll bar.

Drove home and started wondering what else has they done, so checked oil, was very dark and did not look fresh, so then checked air filter, very dirty. Inspection 1 was supposed to have been done.

Heading to dealers first thing in the morning, but wondered if I should be starting with trading standards?

Thought?

OK retract the st dealers in part. Air filter is not part of Inspection 1..........but the other bits stand, went in for a problem, they changed a load of stuff, as soon as i drive off i can hear the original problem.......

the dealer is having the car back in tomorrow and fixing the problem FOC, also they are going to perform the delta of insp 1 and 2 and only charge parts. In the end they have made good, but you just shouldnt have to put up with this when paying dealer rates for work.
