How much should I pay?

Hi Guys
Your counsel is required, please. I'm looking to buy a Tuscan. I have been looking for a Mk1 S, however the following interesting example has come up, and I'd be interested in hearing what the consensus is on its value. This is from dealer so would hopefully come with 6-month warranty minimum. Clearly there will be a range of opinions but it would be good to hear them.
2001
Nearing 50k miles but recent (~4k) replacement engine from a 2006 Sag. Checked out by market-trusted S6 engine outfit. Need to check but I think new engine has done ~20k miles.
Recent respray in likeable colour.
Recent recarpeting.
Rebuilt gearbox with close ratios + new diff to match (I forget the diff ratio!)
Chassis supposedly fine (but need to confirm).
New immaculate 18in spiders.
Generally well looked after.
No accident history.
S brakes.
Nitrons.
Full service history.
So, what sort of price would you consider to be at-market for the above?
My two main concerns are I suppose, impact on resale of being a slightly older/higher mileage car than I originally wanted - despite the high quality refresh, also the fact and the possible resale impact on it being a non-factory S with S-like upgrades. Should I be overly concerned? (only like the S spoilers in certain colour cars anyway)

First impression is that its been looked after and had plenty of money spent on it.
I think that its safe to bet that along with the upgrades, any smaller issues have also been taken care of.
Good condition 2001 should be about 15k I guess but I havnt studied the Tuscan market for 12 months now.

What colour is it (this is a big factor for me, I'm quite picky about what I want)?
I'd say this is worth more than the 15k figure quoted above, more like 18-19k from a dealer. Depends on exactly what spec the engine is, clutch condition, etc

I would have suggested that kind of value was about right, the market for Tuscans has improved recently...and before someone shoots me down (as happened on another thread! Oh well next one...

) just have a look at the classifieds and it says it all! Back on topic, I think 20k was about right. Plenty of very expensive work and upgrades means hopefully small bills for the new owner.

I owned it for over 3 years and did all of the work stated to it. I will really miss it but am being called towards a Sag so she had to go..
