I have a question that hopefully you pistonheaders maybe able to help me in!

We are planning a trip down to lake Geneva in July and plan on taking our bikes with us on a bike rack. I was looking at the ferries websites last night and it has 2 categories, cars under 2.4m high and cars over.

We have a small car, fiat punto, and I was wondering if we booked for a car under 2.4m as with the rear mounted rack and 2 bikes it will still be under that height, will we have any issues?

Hopefully someone will have experience of this.

Thanks

With a rear mounted bike-carrier you shouldnt have any problems, remember 2.4m is about 8ft.

I was on the Norfolk Line crossing on Sunday and saw plenty of people with rear mounted bike carriers on the normal car deck.

I know for sure it will be under 2.4m, 8ft it pretty high up!

Thanks for the responses. We should be ok then.

Far less for rear mounted than roof mounted though.
