E24 Suspension

Thinking about getting this kit for my E24:

Seems cheap compared to other coilover kits that I've seen, so does anyone have any experience of them?
Cheers

Having been through that route before, I would suggest you stick with the genuine article mate suspension-wise.The car would not look right otherwise. The last thing you wanna do is "chav up" an E24 BMW, it's like sacrilege then it would end up looking like something Snoop Dog would drive in one of his crappy vids!
If you want to upgrade your suspension go for the genuine E24 M6 (M635 CSI) setup springs and shocks.

Barry

That kit is not a coilover kit in the true sense, sure the coils are over the struts but they don't have adjustable spring platforms. That kit lowers the car by 35 mm if you read the spec so I would say that is perfectly acceptable indeed some may say a little conservative. The fact that it is a spax kit means that you will be getting something that is good quality with the springs and dampers well matched, look them up Spax have been around for decades with a good solid reputation. http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/pr...

Not sure it would 'chav up' the car, unless you mean the fact that it would sit lower than standard, but then the car is a bit 'pimpy' anyway......

They do seem good value at about half the price of the Gaz Golds that I was also looking at, but as mentioned they don't have adjustable ride height.
Does anyone know off-hand, how much the M635csi suspension kit would set me back, out of interest?
