Jesus, that is absolutely shocking frown

I used to love watching him play when he was on form, a match between him and Jimmy White was always something to look forward to.

That's really very sad.

You don't have to live on baby food. Adult food can be liquidised and such a thing as dentures exist. I think there's more to the story than that; and IMHO Higgins is mentally ill anyway.

He isn't that old he's riddled with cancer.

"Sheltered accommodation"?

BTW why does he have to raise money? Isn't there a national health service in Ireland?

Cancer is just a product of getting old a lot of the time.

Your cells have recreated themselves so many times that they start to fk up the copying process.

BAM. Cancer.

Obviously cancer can still strike at any age..

Saw the highlights of a few frames he played before/during the last championship. I wasn't around to see him in his prime but it really is hard to look at, he's clearly an unwell man

He only eats baby food and they took him to a Chinese restaurant? Bit harsh isn't it?

What will they do for Stevie Wonder, take him to Laserquest?

Bloody hell. I remember seeing him on TV not that long ago and thought he looked old and frail but he seems to have got even worse.

ETA: Jimmy White's looking a bit different these days too!

Poor Alex, he looks awful.

I have to say though, in this photo:

The Whirlwind White looks a bit, well, 'special'

You don't get capped prescription charges in Ireland, it gets taken for granted over here. My ex had two courses of basic meds and it cost nearly 200 euro. I guess cancer drugs will be pricey.
