Please copy this email, fill in the appropriate areas and send it to top.gear@bbc.co.uk. We are still trying to get Top Gear to run an Ultima around it's course with The Stig at the helm. Maybe if we get enough people together to email them they finally will do it. Hopefully they would choose ours!

Dear Top Gear producers and hosts,

My name is (insert your name here), and I am writing this to you in an attempt to get you to do something you have been refusing to do for some time. I would like to see you test drive an Ultima GTR on your Test Track, with The Stig behind the wheel. I know that an Ultima GTR has smashed your current track record, but that time was disallowed because The Stig wasn’t behind the wheel.

The Ultima GTR currently holds 7 world records for a production car with road tires and exhaust. Among these are the 0-60MPH record at 2.6 seconds, 0-100MPH record at 5.3 seconds and 0-100-0MPH record at 9.4 seconds.

Currently there is a company in Woodstock, IL, USA, named Schwartz Performance, which has one of world’s most powerful Ultima GTRs. It has a dynamometer proven 1,003HP twin turbo LS2 and it weighs in at around 2,200 pounds with driver and fuel. It has been clocked with times of 0-60MPH in 4.2 seconds and 0-100MPH in 7.4 seconds. It has also been clocked in the standing mile at 209.8MPH and 0-200MPH in 23.3 seconds at the Silver State Classic in 2007. While this car is slower than the GTR720 produced by the Ultima factory, we believe it would be a good choice to flog around your track.

Please consider this a formal request to test an Ultima, preferably the one built by Schwartz Performance. Below is contact information for them.

Can I recommend envelopes stuffed with cash or at least free use of a Schwartz Performance company credit card - as Clarkson would require a luxury holiday driving round Europe to say something good about a vehicle, ..... wouldn't he? Or is he actually an enthusiast rather than a media we/puppet for big manufacturers with equally big hospitality budgets?

I would love to see one go round the top gear track, but think the honor should go to the factory car

It would have to be a factory spec car available to purchase as per factory build options, any other modified hybrid wouldnt be allowed.

i agree with the above, it needs to initially be officially done by the factory car... maybe a customer developed car alongside.

I am also of the opinion that it needs to be a factory car or at least 'factory spec' car initially, otherwise one could argue that taking any of the previous contenders and hot rodding them to achieve a better lap time is equally valid.

I'm also somewhat surprised at the 0-60 mph time quoted for the Schwartz car a paltry 4.2 seconds, what's up with that?... turbo lag, just a result of the gearing or did they get the numbers transposed, 2.4 is more what I'd expect.

Joules: the times were from the paperwork we were given after the standing mile contest where the car went 209MPH. The car was setup with more grunt as it went thru the gears to avoid overpowering the tires as it went off the line, but we thought it was off a bit too. Remember that with 1000+hp we have to tip-toe all the way to 3rd gear usually.

The factory point is not lost on me. They have been trying for a few years now, and been rejected every time. The mere fact that there is interest might be enough to get it done, factory car or ours!

It'll never happen, they won't want a small output company upsetting all the exotic manufacturers that send them their cars to test. They've had some low volume stuff but nothing anywhere near as threatening/road legal as the Ultima GTR. Good luck nontheless, I'd love to see it happen, haven't Ultima themselves tried before and been ignored numerous times though??

Just shows that money talks I guess. Those cocks know nothing about cars, they must all have heard about the Ultima and plenty of others but choose to live in ignorance.

Just saw a segment on a ZR-1 Corvette comparing it to a Audi R-8. They slammed the Corvette for being an uncontrollable beast while they slid the car around the corners generating a cloud of black smoke. Let's see: isn't it faster and easier to drive a car around a corner then to slid it around the corner?

I no longer watch the show on a regular basis, it is a "show" and nothing more.

Also, I would expect to get the car back from this show as a collection of parts.

If I were you I would let the factory spearhead this effort.
