Goodbye but not farewell

We'll my beloved Sag is up for sale - I don't want to sell her but 2 baby boys means it has to go - just not using it enough.

I've got a Jaguar XFR by way of compensation (5 litre V8 Supercharged, 510bhp) - its the complete antithesis of the Sag in some ways (quiet, loads of gadgets, heavy) but got some similar DNA running through it (bloody fast (0-60 4.8s, 0-100 10.0s) not bad for a 2 ton car, likes petrol and makes you grin like a maniac whenever you nail the throttle). I'll miss my Sag - the best car I've ever had but I'm finding it difficult to justify keeping it. The Jag is a bit too quiet - I think a larger bore stainless steel exhaust system may be on the cards, if anyone makes such a thing. I don't know if tweaking Jags is the thing to do, although the Jag salesman assures me it can be tweaked to 650bhp with only a chip...... IRC, the 'growler' badge on the Bonnville car was removable for a simple ram-air style induction system. EVO ran an article on it a while back.

We'll my Sagaris is sold - to a nice chap from Leeds (Craig) - I'm sure he'll be on the forum soon. I had one last drive yesterday before he picked it up and it was fantastic as ever. The Jaguar XFR is super fast but back into the TVR you really notice the lack of weight (1 tonne vs 2 tonnes) and the way it dives instantly into the corner. Fantastic. That's 8 years of TVR ownership (as my only car too) brought to an end - what a glorious swansong.

Best mod I ever made - 3.91:1 diff into the Sag (kept a standard gearbox) - transformed the car.
