I'm not 100% sure, but you could be right...
That's what Javelin say for the forthcoming Croft Trackdays -

To be honest, I was that busy ducking and dodging the rain to pay too much attention!!

It was one of the (increasingly rare) 105db days, but Javelin are doing a couple of these 88db days to get around the noise restrictions.
Any pics of the white Clio Cup car I managed to put into the tyres at Tower 5 days before a race?

I did have a pic later on with the tyre marks on the front wing, but it was a bad picture so I deleted it... Sorry...
We were running worn 888s with the view to seeing how wet it had to be before we switched to proper wets. The car was going pretty well, not huge amounts of grip but that was partly due to the fact we didn't soften off the suspension (wanted to see what would happen if we started a race in the dry and it began to rain, this then helps us decide whether to put wets on before a race if rain looks likely).
Problem is, I'm so used to not using the clutch with the sequential 'box that as I downshifted into Tower the fronts locked up momentarily and the car aquaplaned just enough to send me straight onto the grass, from there I was a passenger.
Lesson learned, in the wet, the 888s do have quite a bit of grip, but H&T on the downshift....

Better to do it on a Track Day than Race Day...
No doubt I'll be back there later on in the season... so you'll get a few more pics!
