Checked the fuse?

Tried the SatNav in another car?

This'll tell you what bit needs replacing smile

Usually the 'reciever' of the cigarette lighter needs replacing.

This can happen with Tom Tom. When this happened to me I did a complete reset of the Tom Tom software and installed the latest update and then it started charging again.

The fuse for mine died when I plugged one of those Radio Transmitters for iPods in. That should be your first port of call.

Unscrew the end of the bit that goes into the lighter socket, and you'll find the glass fuse there. Watch you don't lose the spring or the silver tit.

Replace with the same rating, not any highter.

^^This^^

I had the same problem with mine a few weeks ago. I was about to throw the lead away when I noticed the adapter could be unscrewed. Looked inside and found the fuse. Once replaced, all was well.

Alternatively, the fuse for the lighter itself will be nestled away in your fuse box. Might be worth checking that too.

The crimped power lead could have become detached from the lighter element. Should be an simple enough fix depending on how much dash you have to disassemble to get to the lighter.

None, it's in the cubby beside the hand-brake. A swift tug at the hole left when the ash tray is removed takes the whole heap out.
