New 2010 Astra estate?

Anyone know when its going to be released? SWMBO's co car is due for replacement in Dec and they only get Astra Estates and I was wondering what odds would be on getting a new shape one at least instead of teh crap thing she currently has.

Also as she drive autos has anyone got a new shape derv auto that would commenbt on if its a nicer tool to drive than the 'old shape'

I;m not sure but the 3 door is due in 18 months, so maybe the sameish time

Its due to be launched for sale in spring 2011 I believe. The astra estates are also being called the "astra sports tourer" and it looks pretty similiar to the insignia sports tourer (estate). At a guess, i would say your missus will get the current shape but who knows?

She'll get another Mk5. This time it'll be built in Poland rather than Ellesmere Port. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, draw your own conclusions.

My brother in law is an engineer at GM who has been involved in this project from the start.

He informs me that production is due to start in September 2010, and that these will ONLY be built in Ellesmere Port.

Correct. My mate works for vauxhall and told me its Ellesmere too as thats where the outgoing model is built, so the factory needs the work.
