ultimate ultima gtr
Discussion
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I wouldn't go and buy a stupid Ferrari,
I’d begin with a black Ultima GTR and add...

He was a young man with a Wok or two loose......
Basically he built an Ultima with around 400bhp, putting things like subwoofers in the rear bulkhead (using woks to disipate the heat!)... and then took his girlfriend out for her maiden voyage and never returned......
Both ended up in hospital when he span on a junction and got T boned..... Its actually extremelly sad and we didn't laugh much at the time.

Do a search for Tuckshop on the Ultima forum.
Tuckshop had some unique ideas on what an Ultima specification should be. You will not have seen him post for many months as his car was a total loss 2 weeks after SVA.
Steve
Just finished a search for "Truckshop". Finished my cuppa coffee, /CLICK, reading for comprehension 'ON'/ re-searched for _TUCKshop_, found it. (Interesting thread under "t_R_uckshop", some good points, some bad points, but well stated all around, once the Pi$$ing contest filter is turned on. I can see why it was closed.)
When I mentioned that I have looked for those posts in the archives, I meant to say that I have read 90% of the archives here (royal pain, having to go back one-page-at-a-time, for FIFTY-plus PAGES!! How about a jump-to function, eh?) Have now bookmarked the relevant pages for future use.
Thanks,
butafraidtolooktooclose-no,don'tliftthatrock!

Did we mention... it was also appently his FIRST car
And three weeks after passing his driving test.
Steve
WOW!! That decision to have an Ultima as your first car AND as the first car you will drive after passing your driving test sure is open to some Monday Morning Quarterbacking. (Insert appropriate Rugby term for examining the weekends' matches, after the fact)
Do any of you have the pictures of his car saved? The links in the old posts do not work.
Thanks,
Dave
Yes thee air bag suspension is a bit much...as well as...well he shows a great deal of Ingenium.
I'm still watching this forum. Any word on Stealth B6's? Are they still being built occasionally? There was that one for sale by a fellow PH'er in the US that was raced. I have been really interested in reading a German review of a high spec verson tested but havn't found it on the internet.
In board suspension...
Hewland Tranny action

Since we're on the subject of ultimate Ultima cars... I like the style of the GTR. Therefore, my ultimate Ultima GTR would have the following:
- Lightweight body from the factory
- Chevy v8 sbc engine lighten to 130-150Kgs, aspirated pumping out 650 bhp. Don't know the torque, have to do the math... Rev up to 8500 rpm red line.
- Kevlar carbon fibre floor pans and panels.
- Carbon fibre interior.
- Carbon fibre dash steering wheel, control everything from it. Probably from Motec
- 16 x 13 rear, and 16 x 11 front Magnesium wheels
- Street legal DOT slicks
- kevlar carbon fibre seats from Reverie
- Larger rear wing, and wing plate made from kevlar carbon fibre, painted the same color as the body metallic mid-night blue.
- titanium springs
- 6 speed clutchless Zeroshift gearbox
That's about it. I can't think of anymore...
