check the throttle linkage under the rear clam my be stuck open slightly try a bit of WD40. When you blip the throttle does it stay at 1900rpm or settle back to norm jdearden said:
its stays at 1900 or between 1500-1900. tried throttle cable and is fine. just seem very wierd cant put my finger on it. car is running fine apart from whole in manifold which should be sorted next week
Maybe ECU. Poss the hole in manifold has caused it to re set, have a similar prob with mine except my Lambda sensor is failing i think this has caused my ECU to re set and my car wont tick over properly, Is going in monday to be done. jdearden said:

Be cautious with holes (or cracks) in the manifold on the 2.5. They can let air in which can produce ‘flaming’ (through oxygen) onto the lambda sensor which sits in front of the turbo. The ‘flaming’ can disintegrate the lambda sensor; if this happens, bits will go into the turbo and cause a failure. I would take it nice and easy until it is fixed/replaced.Gassing Station | Noble | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

te on the butterfly blew off leaving a slightly bigger gap so more air more revs. just turnt the idle scre back and reset the throttle position on the ECU.
