Mobile skip needed

I am ripping the garden to bits and need a big estate car. I have been looking at old Volvo's around the £500 mark, any particular engine/model to be ignored?

When I did this recently I just did the garden work and put everything in a big pile in the corner, then hired a van for a weekend. Took a lot fewer trips and was far cheaper as no insurance etc.

If you are going to do this over a long period so need more long term wheels you could look for a Ford Escort type of van. Should have more usable space than the Volvo and you won't lose anything from possible damage when you come to sell it.
