I Can't belive a search of PH doesn't come up with any threads on this....Oh well...

I'm looking for a couple of car seats to take my 2 & 3 year-olds right up to when they are no longer required; when I see fit that they are able to sit comfortably in the seat with the proper set belt in the right place.

Anyway, Mrs Oilydan likes the look of the Nania/Brittax usual stuff but I have become smitten with the Recaro seats cloud9

Isofix is not an option as my car (2009 Lumina SS) doesn't have it but hers does (2007 Tahoe). They almost always will be in her car anyway for school runs etc.

So, parents of PH. What is your experience/reccommendations for a combi 1-2-3 childs seat?

The Britax Evolva will suit from infancy to 12 years, apparently.

How long are you planning to keep the kids for?

you need to get the recaro

We bought one in 2002 when my daughter was 2, she handed it on to her little brother in 2006 when he was 2. He has now swapped to a booster seat for day to day use, but I think in the event of a long trip (euro road trip or something)we would put the recaro back in the car.

It has so far fitted in every car we have tried it in from a variety of jeeps, through various saloons to fiat seicento, mustang. I believe they even fit in cerberas its been in daily use since we have had it and been on more flights as a bulky item than i can remember.

Because its buily on an aluminium frame its very strong, but not overly bulky, but also as its not hust a thinly padded plastic bucket, they are cooler and better padded for the little darlings to sit in. They are also adjustable for width and height so will gro with your kids.

Accept no compromise.... britax schmitax
