Lambda Sensor

Remove the lambda sensors from my old manifolds in preparation to put them on the new ones.

The pre-cat fell out of the nearside manifold and when I pulled out the lambda sensor it's a bit dented presumably from the pre-cat being loose and banging around in the manifold.

What's the opinion - do you think I should replace the Lambda?

Is there a way to test it off the car? Until my new manifolds I don't have a way to run the engine. The engine seemed to be running fine before I removed the manifolds.

Why bother buggering about with the old one Colin? Seems to me its done its job and needs to be replaced now anyway.

Are you replacing the Y peice aswell? if not at best it will need taking off and all the pre-cat debris removing but you will also need the somehow check that the main cat is not damaged or blocked.

I'm replacing the whole system. New ACT performance manifolds with racing cats and cherry bomb exhaust.

Tim's having to customise one of the manifolds to provide clearance on one of the spark plugs - which appears to have been helicoiled.

I guess that's a fair point it's just they are £80 each - but the amount I've spent on the exhaust it seems silly to quibble about £160 for a pair of lambdas.

Colin I have a couple of brand new Lambda sensors that I dont need. We could come to a deal if you are interested !
