360 game won't load.... help!

Hi all, rather annoying - picked up Red Dead Redemption yesterday.It loaded ok but this morning machine refuses to 'power up' to load it. I'm not getting any error message - the machine just keeps ticking over but not properly powering up. Any advice - machine knackered or game needs replacing - btw other games play ok.

So you get to the 360 dashboard, but when you press the button to start the game it goes black and stops?

Is the disc scratched?

if all your other games work properly I think you should probably get your game replaced.

Yeah - hit start at dashboard and machine sounds as though it is powering up (think this is the phrase - the motor goes in to overtime along with the fan) and then it dies and just clicks over - game is brand new

Try saving the game to your HDD drive & play it from there. If that doesn't work take the game back.

Could be a dodgy disc - do other games load or is it just that one that doesn't?
