E46 - 320 coupe handling problems

The car has now done 170k miles and 80k done by myself in the last 2 and a half years, always been to main dealer for servicing and i do my best to keep everything in working order. Just had a front wishbone/balljoint replaced and thought this was the reason for the bad handling. The replacement of the balljoint has made the car a lot better and now the steering is solid, but now the rear of the car feels bad, to the point where it feels like the rear wheels are steering in the oposite direction to the front making it very hard to control on roads with ridges made by lorries etc. Its like my rear suspension is made of jelly!

Im guessing there are bushes that are worn on the rear somewhere, can anyone point me in the right direction as to what it is that needs replacing!

Thanks!

I would suggest replacing all the bushings on the rear suspension would sort the problem, specially if you upgrade to powerflex ones. This should sort the problem, assuming you've checked everything's correct with tyre pressures.

Great timing Just1e. I've started having similar issues with my 325 Touring with the back end skipping slightly over ridges and holes in the road. The shocks were all replaced last year so it will either be the bushes or springs I guess?
