gearbox ecu change on 4200

I have been told that on the later 4200 it is is possible to drop in a gransport ecu. Is this also possible on the 2002 models - and spider, to deal with the poor flappy paddle gear change?

I can't answer your question exactly, but if it's any help, the change in CC gearbox between early (2002ish) 4200s and later 4200s is more than just a software update, there are different mechanical parts as well AIUI
