Ok done a google, only fault seems to be that the tyres can scrub out eaasy on the sports models?

Anyone owned one, know what to look for?

Suggestions for a better alternative?

Yep, thats very, very common on the Mazda5.

Apparently, due to the weight of the vehicle, and the wide stance/wheels that they scrub badly.

Rear shockers can go not too uncommonly, but these aren't that expensive to replace and if you get one thats still in warranty their replaced under that no problem.

Other than that, if your looking for a people carrier they are very nice to drive, the petrol ones do have quite abit of poke and for a people carrier they don't wallow around.

Thanks mate, it was a toss up between the 5 and the c max, thought the 5 was a better car but have a bit of a soft spot for ford

Try both.. I prefer the 5 but I'm slightly bias.

If you do choose a 5, if you want just send me the details and I'll check service history/previous warranty for you smile
