Citroen C4 HDi - Any good?

Today dad came in annoucing that he had been looking at cars all day and has found one he really likes but wanted a bit more info about. The car was a C4 HDi VTR and to make things as simple as possible, has anyone got any experience with one of these? Any positive/negative sides to it(apart from being french)?
