16600 Seadweller

I'm really tempted to buy myself a Seadweller but before I go ahead there's a few things I'd like to clarify. I've never spent much money on a watch before and I've never bought a second hand watch before, so I don't want to make any schoolboy errors! I'd like one as recent as possible but if I get one that's approaching five years old then I guess it'll be due a service? If the watch is more than about four years old should I only look to get one that's been serviced?

What changes were made to the Seadweller over the last few years? I'd like a recent one and looking at these two on Blowers:

The 2002 one has drilled lug holes (and different shaped lugs). Are there any other differences I should look out for?

What should I expect to pay for a good, recent example? I want to make sure I get a good watch, but I don't want my pants pulled down. Finally, is it madness to buy a watch I haven't tried on? I don't know anybody with one and I haven't seen one in any shops. Any other advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Blowers are a superb company to deal with, bought my sub off them last month and have since bought a few boxes and other bits and the quality and service has been absolutely 1st class

Well, a massive thanks to Dominic! I've just picked up a Seadweller in perfect condition and I'm very pleased with it! Great service from Dom and he even arranged for me to pick the watch up on Friday evening, and then took the time to answer all my questions about it and size the bracelet for me.

As for the watch itself I was slightly worried it might sit a bit high as I hadn't seen one in the flesh before buying mine, but I think it looks great on my wrist. I'm very pleased I went for this instead of a Sub no-date.

Once again, big thumbs up for Dominic!

Having worn mine for over 30 years, you get used to it, honest. Dont forget to have it itemised on your house policy for insurance.
