Where's this leak coming from

Hello Griffers,

Had my Griff just a short while and what a great beast. Noticed recently a wet patch in the middle of the rear parcel shelf carpet. I've checked around and cannot find where it may be leaking from. Usually under cover so didn't notice it before.

Anyone have this problem?...is this normal?

Have you waterproofed the roof especially the stitching?
If not, this may be one cause.

mine leaks through the vents at the back of the hood when i wash it.

Hi,

Mine has been doing exactly the same for the last 12 months.

You will probably find that when left in the rain it sometimes leaks and sometimes doesn't.

This is to do with the incline of the road where it is parked. A slight forward tilt precipitates a leak from one of the 2 small vents under the hood.

I thought at first it was the stitching but on one occasion when I drove away I saw water just pouring out from the left vent.

Haven't got round to fixing it yet as the car is about to be recarpeted I need to do this.
