First 35 Cities To Get 'McDealers' In 2011

New McLaren 12C retailer roster to be announced before Goodwood Festival of Speed

McLaren has listed the 35 global cities around the world where its new 12C supercar will be on sale next year. The names of its retail partners in each location are expected to be announced before the car's global public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

  • Europe: Birmingham, London, Manchester; Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich; Brussels; Monaco, Paris; Milan; Barcelona/Madrid; Zurich
  • North America: Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orange County, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Tampa; Toronto
  • Middle-East / South Africa: Manama; Doha; Jeddah, Riyadh; Dubai, Abu Dhabi; Kuwait; Johannesburg
  • Asia-Pacific: Hong Kong; Singapore; Sydney; Tokyo

The company has also released these images of its 'retail concept', presenting a business-like environment which seems to reflect McLaren's no-nonsense approach to life in general.

Apparently 2500 prospects have registered an interest in the new 12C, and over 500 retailers have pitched to represent the brand around the world. If you want to see it at Goodwood before it goes on sale officially in the spring next year, tickets to the Festival of Speed are available here.

I have to say, "if" I was in the market for a supercar that this would be the top of my list as the depth of engineering alone will be fabulous. And I cannot wait until the next in the lineup is announced, it is underway already.

easier commute for some to get to. I'm chuffed as they will no doubt put it on the Fort Dunlop area where Bentley, Lambo, etc are. Although I would like to see it in the middle of Nechells high street smile

Birmingham? So Mclaren will obviously offer 21 inch chrome wheels and lights that illuminate the underneath of the car and the windscreen washer jets...

To be fair I think Lewis Hamilston's car will come straight from the factory

I hope they know what they are doing.

That many dealers for £170K car with unit volumes going to be fairly low.... I wonder if they are going to set up in existing dealers as mentioned and maybe give them a comission?

Interesting stuff....

Makes total sense. Pretty affluent part of the world, if my previous travels there are anything to go by.

They will sell enough. The price tag is not obsurd. I am sure they will sell quite reasonable numbers because they have the name attached to the car.

In spite of the flurry of kickballers, Knutsford is also a far more pleasant place to drive to than Manchester itself.

Really looking forward to seeing one of these at Goodwood.

Guess the locations are spread out around the country. Are they doing the scrappage scheme if you buy one ? wink

Oddly no Edinburgh which I reckon must be a better market than Birmingham surely? Judging by the house prices and stuff anyway.
